Brian
M. Douglass of Bend, Oregon was a Volunteer Admissions Representative in
Oregon's 2nd Congressional District on behalf of the U.S. Merchant Marine
Academy for several years. During this time, beginning with the
Class of 2002 through the Class of 2005, Congressional Appointments to
Kings Point increased thirteen-fold.
For the academic year
2000-2001, Mr. Douglass was a Blue and Gold Officer for the United States
Naval Academy. In addition, he was appointed as the Executive
Officer for the USNA BGO Program in Oregon for academic year 2000-2001.

To date, Mr. Douglass has had the honor and privilege of assisting 44 young men
and women in receiving 36 service academy appointments, 21 college ROTC scholarships,
25 military junior college admissions and 2 state maritime academy admissions with a
total fair market value exceeding 9.6 million dollars.
Because of this record of accomplishment, the Olympic Institute for
Leadership Development, Inc., a privately held
educational organization, has been formed. College Preparatory Services (CPS)
and Service Academy Preparatory Services (SAP) are both components of the
Institute.
We work
with students and families seeking admission to federal service academies,
college ROTC programs, military junior colleges, prep schools and state
maritime academies at the junior high, secondary and post secondary levels. The United
States Military is particularly interested in the recruitment of more
women and minority candidates, as is the Olympic Institute.
Thank you in advance for
your support. If you know any young men, women or minority students
who could benefit from our program, please kindly refer them to us.
